After complaining about the 2nd cover leaking, they sent me a full refund without me having to ship anything back. So, they do stand behind their product. I just wish the product was better.
After posting my bad review I received a message from Empire saying they were sorry I was not pleased and to call them about it. I called and they were very nice.
They said they would send me a new cover made of their latest, best material called NEVERWET. I did not even have to send back my old one, which is a normal requirement. So, it came, and it leaks just like the other one.

I received a message from Empire asking me to call them to resolve the matter. I called them.
Suddenly there was a new customer-pleasing attitude. The man I spoke to was very friendly and offered to send me a replacement cover. I do not even have to send in my old one. He also upgraded it to the new NeverWet fabric, which was not available when I made my initial order.
That is more than I expected. We'll see how the new one performs.

HORRIBLE!
I purchased a 11-ft. outdoor patio umbrella from Empirepatio.com and returned it 48-hours later.
The two poles did not match (insert into each other) and the pole was 2-inches. I called them to inform the company that there was NO INVOICE or statement in the box with my umbrella. I spoke to a Customer Service representative and she stated she would send an email containing the proper document (invoice). She NEVER stated that I needed "Authorization" to return an Item.
She simply stated I should return it with the printed document she emailed. I paid the shipping cost at UPS. The company only credited me $80 out of $120! When I called the company to ask why the full amount was not credited on my Visa Credit Card the Customer Service representative stated "You didn't follow the proper procedures and we did NOT authorize the return.
Therefore, we charged you for a restocking fee." I stated, "Your policy is ridiculous. I have never heard of such nonsense. Why does a Customer need AUTHORIZATION from your company to return an item?" Needless, to say I expressed to the representative that I felt like I was "ripped off" and would NEVER, NEVER do business with them ever, ever again. DO NOT BUY anything from this company, because you have to have "their Authorization" to return a product.
If you do NOT get their "Authorization" then you are screwed and ripped off with a restocking fee.
Ridiculous excuse for ripping off customers. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Bad quality cover
Bought a large cover for $100+. Paid to ship it back and have never heard from them again.
Tried to contact them but cant seem to get anyone to speak to. We paid for tracking so we know they received the cover. I will never buy from them again and don't recommend their products. I am considering filing a better business complaint against them.
If nothing else I want the cost to ship the ruined cover back to them that they warrantied! I don't have thirty more words to say about them so I am just making this part up to get the words needed to post.

Typically the warranty would be for a direct replacement for the item ordered, but it sounds like this item was not working for your needs and of course exceptions can be made when needed.
